Glenn Wonacott is a composer of choral and church music and is currently Director of Music at the Big Bear Presbyterian Church in Big Bear Lake, California. Raised at the Glendale (California) Presbyterian Church, Glenn was mentored by Don G. Fontana and Dr. Thomas Somerville and received a Bachelors Degree in Church and Choral Music at the University of Southern California (USC) in 1978, followed by Masters studies in Choral Conducting at the California State University in Northridge. Wonacott’s experience encompasses a wide variety of styles, including choral adult, youth and children, classical, traditional, contemporary, gospel, pop, jazz and world music. He also writes extensively in the areas of worship and liturgy, with an eye toward finding new settings for traditional texts. He has worked in clinics and workshops with a wide spectrum of educational and church denominations including Methodist, Presbyterian, Lutheran, Baptist, and other non-denominational groups throughout the Western United States. He enjoys writing, computer and music programming, and reports that he is blessed to be a work-at-home dad.
