Letter from Bernstein's Manager

Dear Mr. Biebl,

May I write to tell you how much joy your Ave Maria has given my friends and me during the Christmas season for the past several years. Thank you very much. The recording [enclosed] is by the Howard Glee Club on the Musical Heritage Society label, and I was fortunate enough to find ten more copies to give as Christmas presents.

It has been very difficult to find your address, but my friend Erich Mauermann, with whom I frequently work at the BR [Bayerischen Rundfunk] finally supplied it. As you see, I am Leonard Bernstein' manager (and also a reformed choral singer). As I am frequently in Munich when Maestro Bernstein conducts, perhaps I will have the opportunity to thank you for your beautiful work in person.
